In their pretty short and complicated marriage, Chris and Grace got a son: **Miles** (Matt). Grace quickly noticed she wants more out of life than the situation she felt stuck in with Chris and Miles, so she bailed and left Chris and Miles behind.
Following the death of L in 2004, Chris entered witness protection and was relocated to Melbourne, Australia under the name Christian Jones. Miles was supposed to follow Chris but since he and Mello ran away from Wammy’s and slipped through the grasp of the authorities, Chris had to go alone.
In Australia, he met Holly. Chris and Holly dated for about 2 years before getting married in 2008/2009. Chris shed some tears at the wedding cause Matt was still missing in action at that point.
Matt and Chris reunite sometime post-canon and are in close contact since. Chris treats Mello like a second son, it’s adorable.
Chris and Holly got Bertram (aged golden retriever from an animal shelter) so Chris has someone to care for. After Bertram passed away, they got Thruppence.
