Near‘s deal ist in trockenen Tüchern. M2 are free to leave the SPK for the first time in 2 weeks and without the fear of being caught. They end up staying at the SPK HQ for the remaining time until everybody flies back to the US.

M2 kommen zurück in die Mafia flat und finden sie komplett verwüstet vor. Sehr dramatisch. Ihr altes Leben ist kaputt. Near ist so lange in nem Hotel, bis die beiden ihr Zeug aus der Bude geholt haben, alles geregelt ist etc und Mello bereit für Prison ist.

Die SPK „verhaftet“ Mihael Keehl. After the arrest, Mello is put into pretrial detention. In the U.S., this would be in a county jail, not a federal prison, since he‘s awaiting arraignment and possible trial. Within 48–72 hours, he appears before a judge for an arraignment hearing. He pleads guilty as part of a plea bargain worked out behind the scenes.

Plea Bargain Finalized. Due to Near and SPK working their magic, the District Attorney accepts the plea to avoid going to trial.

The court sentences Mihael Keehl to 6 months in county jail with no parole (to keep it clean).

The day after sentencing, Mello is transferred to county jail to begin serving his time. It‘s not a federal prison since it‘s a short sentence on low-tier charges. Matt (20) lives with Near in the meantime.

Near is in Sweden, reuniting with his family over easter for a week.

Mello’s official release date is 24.08.2010 — assuming no parole, no early release, and no disciplinary issues. Halle, Near and Matt are there to pick him up.

Matt (20) reunites with Chris (47) in Australia. Matt and Mello (20) spend 1-2 weeks at Chris and Holly’s (_) place.

Something is up with the Wammy’s kids or Roger himself has a problem and Roger asks Near for help and Near’s like “nah got work but I know some guys” and he gives Roger idk a business card or a website or even just a phone number (it’s Mello’s). Roger doesn’t recognise the “Mihael Bosnijak” name. Mello picks up his phone “uh this is Roger Ruvie I’m calling because-” and Mello is !!!!! calling Matt from the other room and Mello is leaving Roger in the dark about that he’s calling Mello out of all people (cause Rger doesn’t seem to have a clue), and they make an appointment, Roger comes to visit Mello in his office (or aht home, wherever he works from idk) and it slowly dawns on Roger who he’s the guy with the scarface (maybe Matt comes in with a cuppa tea “here you go Mel :)”) and ROger just………………………………. MELLO?? Then Roger is like, okay guys youve had your fun, Ibut I actually need a PI; seeya. And Mello is all professional like: Why? I´ll take the case. So mello takes the case, solves it and then it comes to payment. Maybe Roger is short on cash, idk. Anyway, after Wataris death, Roger inherited a small house from him. He already lives in his own house and the propety need renovating before he could rent it out. So it sat empty in the meantime. He (jokingly) offers mello the house as payment. Mellois not into it at first, but Matt is all like: fuck yeah, our own house? At least lets go take a look. So they go there and matt falls in love with the house. Mello is not really jazzed up and dislikes the idea, but he doesnt want to break matts heart and presss Roger for money, so they take the house. mello doesnt want to move there, but its convenient as an office. matt uses it as his workshop. Thes stay there longer and longer and at some point talk about renovations, so that the place becomes more usable to them. At that moment they realize, 1) they might just as good move there entirely and 2) mello actually likes the idea.
Mello hat die Death Note Regeln ja getestet bis zum Gehtnichtmher und und ein ganzes Ergänzungspamphlet dazugelegt. Das landet 100% beim Shinigami-König, der guckt sich das durch und meint na holla, da war aber jemand fleißig….. Jürgen, bring mir mal das Regelwerk, wir müssen da ein paar Punkte ergänzen.
Und das wird ein riesen Ding in der SHinigami-Welt und die haben Fragen. Irgendwann - JAHRE nach dem Kira-Fall - klopfts mal bei Matt&Mello an der Tür. Mello macht auf und es liegt einfach ein Death Note fein säuberlich vor seiner Tür auf der Matte. Mello starrt es an, denkt, macht die Tür zu. Kommt kurze Zeit wieder, hebt es mit ner Grillzange auf “MATT SCHAFF DICH BEI”. Und eine ganze Brigarde an Shinigamis wartet unsichtbar drauf, dass Mello das Ding anfasst und sie reden können. Matt überredet Mello, Near anzurufen, der kommt kurze Zeit später vorbei (definiere kurze Zeit….) und die alle hocken bei M2 im Wohnzimmer oder Küche und diskutieren seit Stunden, was sie jetzt machen und die Shinigamis werden unruhig. Matt ist der erste, ders anfasst, dem ist auch irgendwann langweilig.
Near und Matt gehen mal zusammen auf ne Eurogame-Messe. Von den Escorts konnte keiner, deswegen hat er Matt gefragt, der hat auch mega Bock. Near hat Matt zwar gebrieft, dass Near special needs hat, und Matt sagt klaro, aber wenn Near wortlos vom Tisch aufsteht, geht Matt laut seufzend und visibly eye rolling hinterher. Near steht mal draußen, weil er einfach ne Pause braucht, völlig überfordert und Matt steht nebendran und labert dem eine Bulette nach der anderen ans Ohr, die ganze Metzgerei schwatzt der dem armen Kerl an und Near hat nen halben Kollaps. Drückt ihm irgendwann sein Handy in die Hand “DU WEIßT WIE MAN EIN TELEFON BENUTZT. WHATSAPP. WILLOW. ANRUFEN. JETZT” “okay- musst ja nicht plärren”
