• The SPK and M2 fly back to the US. Near and Matt will move in a flat together for Mello's time in prison, so Near is waiting for M2 to inspect their old flat, get all the stuff that's left, Mello to prepare. On 13.02.2010 the SPK "arrests" Mihael Keehl, who is framed as a mafia lowbob, did some drug runs for Rod Ross or something the like. Anything that would get him 6 months, think of something! What would happen after Mihael Keehl gets caught? Legal wise? Would he be put in Untersuchungshaft? How long until a trial date is set? When would it be? Which date? When would he be officially be put in prison?

• Like Matt makes mello a cup of tea and leaves the teaspoon in for him bc mello like to sometimes drink from his spoon for a bit and Mello’s just like 😭 you remembered I like a spoon except he’s trying to be normal about it and he’s grinning but his eyes are watering he’s never felt so seen

• I do however think that mello rarely calls Matt his bf or husband or whatever until he gets into it w Rod Ross and Rod is like. Why are you keeping sweaty gamer boy he smells and isn’t good and you can see Mello’s whole body temp go up like one of those time and Jerry cartoons and he just screaming that is my HUSBAND. Whole scene looking like that one blonde lady yelling at the cat at the table → switch Rod to someone from Mello’s work post canon

2015

• You can't tell me M2 doesn't celebrate Christmas by lounging in pajamas on their living room floor beneath a gaudy as hell Christmas tree. Mello's curled up by the fireplace, nose buried in the rare edition novel Matt gifted him. Matt's splayed out beside him, kicking his feet in the air as he happily constructs one of the life-size Pokémon Lego sets Mello got for him. Their mugs of hot chocolate have been long forgotten by the couch and some shitty pop punk rendition of Jingle Bell Rock is playing from Matt's phone. Maybe a coal pops in the fireplace or a song skips, but something causes Mello to pull his attention away from his book long enough to glance up. He sees Matt, content and happy, he notes the warmth and stillness of their apartment and is overcome with how at peace he feels. It's utterly cliche and horribly domestic but he can't help but bask in the love he feels for the man beside him and the new life they've created together.
