But yeah I don’t think Roger can deal w people when he gets home. I think he has cordial relationship w his neighbours (says hello and they do menial tasks for each other like collecting post when someone’s on holiday) but apart from that it’s him and his cat
The neighbors probably talk about him a lot. Gossip about the schoolmaster for the weird kids and such
But they're not mean to him
They’re a bit worried about him being alone
I do think he has a beautiful garden though
Think Roger mostly wears those clompy grandad slippers around the house with the fleece lining and bow in the tongue and they’re made of suede and have a hard bottom
Like I don’t think Roger hates the kids (some he prob does) but I do think he has infinitely more patience for the quiet kids
And while he’s not fond per se he would let near for example eat lunch in his office bc all near would be doing is munching and maybe reading
